Crawley Town has made a significant signing in the form of Stephen Duke-McKenna, a 25-year-old midfielder who has joined the club this month. The Reds have been working hard in preseason, and Duke-McKenna's arrival has been welcomed by the team. In an interview, he praised the team's chemistry and coaching, saying, "It's been tough, but much needed, to be fair. We've been working hard as a group and it's just good to get out there on the pitch. It's been a good run-out so far. With each game we're getting more chemistry. We're getting to know each other more as players and as individuals, so hopefully by the time the season starts we've completely gelled. All the lads have been welcoming, every one of them, and all the staff. We know what we want this season, so we're doing whatever we can to get there."
The team's coach, Colin Kazim-Richards, also praised Duke-McKenna's arrival, saying, "The gaffer gives me a lot of freedom, so that's perfect for me. I like to show what I can do. Pre-season is the time to practise those things, try things and get them sharpened for the season."
Next, the Reds face Eastleigh in their next preseason fixture, with the match taking place on July 25th. The team is looking to build on their recent win and continue their preseason preparations. Their first League Two match is scheduled for August 15th against Crewe Alexandra.
The Reds are currently 17th in the table, with their next fixture against Rotherham on February 27th, 2027.
