Crawley Town face Bromley in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night desperate to end a five-match losing streak. The game at Broadfield Stadium kicks off at 7:45pm and offers a chance for a fresh start after a difficult run in League Two.
Crawley have not won since a draw at Northampton on the first of September. Their last outing was a heavy 4-1 defeat away to Milton Keynes Dons on September 22, where Nathan Tinsdale scored a late consolation. That result left the club 24th in the League Two table with just four points from seven games.
Bromley, who play in League One, have also had mixed results recently. They beat Huddersfield Town 2-1 but lost their opening EFL Trophy group game to Brentford's under-21 side. The last meeting between these sides saw Bromley win 3-1 at the end of December last year.
The team's recent form, which includes conceding 13 goals in the league, has put pressure on the defence. A positive result could provide a platform before the next League Two fixture against Chesterfield at home on October 10.
