Crawley Town are projected to finish bottom of League Two with a 36.6% probability of relegation, according to a supercomputer simulation. The prediction follows a poor start that has left the Reds 24th in the table with just four points from seven games.
A model known as BETSiE ran 100,000 simulations of the 2026-27 EFL League Two season to generate its projections. It factored in pre-season expectations, fixture difficulty, and underlying performance metrics like expected goals. The algorithm also integrated team financial data and player values from Transfermarkt.
Crawley's current position and form were key inputs. They have won only one of their opening seven league matches, with their most recent result a 4-1 defeat away to Milton Keynes Dons on September 22. Their recent form reads LLLDL, with four consecutive losses.
Manager Colin Kazim-Richards acknowledged the grim outlook. "No surprise, things do not look good for Colin Kazim-Richards' side," he said.
The supercomputer forecast sees Salford City winning the title with an average of 75.2 points, while Barnet and Chesterfield are tipped for the other automatic promotion spots. Accrington Stanley are projected to join Crawley in the relegation zone.
Crawley's immediate focus turns to a tough away fixture against fifth-placed Walsall this Saturday. The club had two weekends off after matches with Barnet and Walsall were postponed due to international call-ups. The full League Two standings show the Reds are eleven points behind leaders Barnet.
With six goals scored and thirteen conceded, the team's goal difference stands at minus seven. The next run of games will be critical for Kazim-Richards and his squad, whose current roster is listed on our squad page.
